When you are setting aside several hours for colour, the experience matters as much as the final photograph. I created Hair by Sha for appointments that feel calm, clear and personal. Getting here
From Surrey Hills, the route toward the studio follows Canterbury Rd west to Camberwell. Camberwell Junction is where Burke Rd crosses Riversdale Rd, and Prospect Hill Rd sits just off the Junction. There is street parking along Prospect Hill Rd and in surrounding streets, plus the Camberwell Coles car park within a short walk.

Appointments that earn their place in the diary
The longer colour services are usually the most worthwhile reason to travel. Balayage is refreshed around every ten to fourteen weeks and gives us time to create a soft blend that remains intentional as it grows. It can be especially useful if you want brightness without building your calendar around constant regrowth maintenance.
Partial and full foils generally return every six to eight weeks. They suit clients who like brighter definition and a regular refresh, while still leaving a reasonable space between visits. Root colour is different: a four-to-six-week touch-up is a genuine commitment. If convenience matters more than continuity for that service, a salon closer to home may make more sense. My aim is to help you choose honestly, not to oversell the trip.
What happens before colour
For a new client, I leave room for an unhurried consultation. We cover your hair history, condition, preferred finish and the amount of upkeep you are comfortable with. I explain the options and provide a quoted price before any colour is mixed. If a result needs more than one appointment, I will say so at the start.
Once we agree, I remain your stylist for the full visit. I do not pass your application or finish to an apprentice. That gives you one point of contact and gives me a complete view of how the hair behaves, which is useful when we plan the next appointment.
For a longer appointment, you are welcome to settle in rather than feeling you need to keep conversation going. Some clients work quietly, some read and some enjoy a proper catch-up. The studio experience is deliberately one-on-one, so we can keep the pace comfortable while I stay focused on the technical work and the condition of your hair.
